Honoring Those Who Served

On Memorial Day, we remember the courage of those who served in the military.

On Monday, May 25, the YMCA Retirement Fund will observe Memorial Day. This national holiday is an important reminder to remember and honor the brave men and women who served in the military and sacrificed their lives to protect our country.

This Memorial Day, we also recall the strong connection between the armed forces and the YMCA. The YMCA’s legacy of serving the military began during the Civil War, and continues today through the incredible work of the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA).

The ASYMCA provides hands-on, innovative, specialized programs and support services to military members and their families. As a proud supporter of the ASYMCA, we invite you to learn more about the organization’s mission by visiting their website.

During this challenging time, as we reflect on the courage of those who served in the military, we also recognize the extraordinary dedication of YMCA professionals who are providing essential services to their communities. All of us at the Fund are inspired by these heroic efforts, and we thank you for your service on behalf of the Y Movement.
