Participant account balances are secure and have not decreased, and our retirees will continue to receive their monthly annuity payments on time. Our investment team strives to maintain a diversified portfolio and manages the assets of the Fund’s portfolio for the long term in order to withstand short-term market volatility. Throughout our nearly 100-year history, the Fund has persevered during good and bad economic times, including the Great Depression, two world wars, 9/11, and the Great Financial Crisis of 2008-2009.
