The Fund Celebrates 97th Anniversary and Welcomes New President & CEO

The YMCA Retirement Fund recently celebrated its 97th anniversary and welcomed new Fund President and CEO Scott Dolfi.

On July 1, the Fund commemorated the anniversary of its first day of operations on July 1, 1922. Although the YMCA Retirement Fund was incorporated in 1921, it needed to raise four million dollars to ensure that YMCA professionals would receive allowances in retirement. After a rigorous fundraising campaign, the Fund raised the required capital to officially establish itself in 1922. Today, the Fund remains dedicated to serving YMCA professionals, and we are proud of our 97-year history.

As we reflect on the tremendous achievements the Fund has accomplished throughout its rich history, we also look toward the future with optimism and excitement. On June 24, 2019, Scott Dolfi was named the sixth President and Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA Retirement Fund. With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Dolfi is committed to providing YMCA employees with the best service to help them achieve financial wellness for their future.

For 97 years, the YMCA Retirement Fund has served YMCA professionals, and Mr. Dolfi will proudly lead the Fund into its centennial. We invite you to read more about Mr. Dolfi and his illustrious career on our website here.
