The Plans

The YMCA Retirement Fund sponsors two Plans:

  • The Retirement Plan is a 401(a) defined contribution account balance plan that elected into certain provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”). Employees must meet certain eligibility criteria to be enrolled in this Plan.

  • The Savings Plan is a church retirement income account plan as defined in Section 403(b)(9) of the Internal Revenue Code. Any employee can participate in this Plan. It is not subject to the same eligibility rules of the Retirement Plan.

YERDI (YMCA Employee Retirement Data Interchange)

This web-based software is used by all participating Ys to submit retirement information to the Fund. If you do not already have access to YERDI, you must ask a current user at your Y to log into YERDI and request that an account be set up under Apply for new YERDI login in the Home section. If no one at your Y has access to YERDI, send an email to the Fund’s Customer Service Department at to set up your account.
