This 45-minute virtual training is designed for new hires or those ready to save for retirement. You’ll learn the difference between the Retirement Plan and the Savings Plan and how to make the most of the Savings Plan’s (403(b) Smart Account and Rollover) features while working and in retirement. You’ll also learn the “rule of thumb” for the income you’ll need in retirement and how tax-deferred savings add up.
This three-hour live, instructor-led virtual training is designed for staff who are within ten years of retirement or over the age of fifty. Your spouse/partner is encouraged to attend. You’ll learn about the options with your YMCA Retirement Fund accounts, including all annuity options; understanding and getting the most from your Social Security benefit; budgeting; taxes in retirement; healthcare options, including an overview of Medicare; and questions to consider in estate planning.
Those pursuing Y-USA Leadership certification/re-certification can receive four credits.
