Suleyman Gokcan
Director of Investment Risk

Suleyman Gokcan joined the Fund in 2016. He is responsible for leading risk management and managing the YRF’s asset allocation process.

Suleyman has over 16 years of risk management experience. In addition, he has extensive experience in asset allocation and quantitative analytics.

From 2009 to 2016, Suleyman was responsible for Investment Analytics and Asset Allocation for the Investments Office of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he developed risk management, asset allocation, and investment analytics capabilities.  

His past experience includes Global Head of Risk Management for Deutsche Bank Fund of Hedge Funds, Director of Risk Management for Merrill Lynch Hedge Fund Management Group, and Director of Risk Management for Citigroup Fund of Hedge Funds.  

Suleyman began his career as an assistant professor of economics at Saint Peter's College and taught undergraduate and graduate economics and finance classes. Suleyman has published several risk management and asset allocation articles in various journals.

Suleyman earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Graduate Center, City University of New York, and his MA in Economics from Queens College.
